The time of preparations - it felt like it was never ending, no matter how much time we had, it would have never be sufficient. Janj flowers, Wedding Car, Maiyan Thal, Palla, Decorations, Sew New Punjabi Suits, Gutte, Jewellry, Tents, Pagri Deco, Chairs, Food, Drinks, Tables, Sehra, Bidde, Veri, Surma, Dhei, Mithey Chauwl, Shoes and Sandals, Maiyan Fetti, Bus Transportation, Maiyan Specific Grass, Suits for Grandmother and Aunts, Dinner Performance, Gervi, Sangeet Koriyan and Geet, Dinner Agenda, Ganne, Serbala, Tol Envelopes, Veri Bag, Mackup, Wedding Cake and most important the Groom.
27 JANUARY 2011 - MAIYAN
With the help our creative cousins - we managed to make a beautiful colorful peacock.
Maiyan thal, it was a headache looking for the right grass for the teil. Once we got the grass another issue was to cut or not to cut...some say cannot cut...some say can...hajjo.
Brother all ready to get polished...
That's me there, under the beautiful Fulkeri.
One by one all line up to do their part... =) My brother got to eat his favorite berfi and in addition a bit of yogurt and haldi because they fed him with the same right hand.
Finally, what we had been waiting for .... malish or may we call it ATTACK!
After he takes his shower, sweet rice time....if you notice, Naamjit got a big spatula to feed. What goes around comes around as he got fed back with it.
Serbala is well known for being bullied, well here's how we do it!
The amount of photographers we had was awesome... most of them were friends of my brothers. What else when your brother is a professional photographer.
27 JANUARY 2011 - SANGEET
The atmosphere was mesmerizing...
Aj viah valle kar vich vejje dholki...sajje dolki...
We all, young and old together singing old and new boliyan...
We had our experts too. =)
And of course guidelines ;D
We had a blast as we had practiced many songs...
And then gomes JAGO... What a wonderful job my brother did to decorate
and add LED's to the jago...It looked sparkly...

Of course how can we have a Sangeet without the DJ...NAAMJIT!
Dance all night with the awesome songs. We planned to stop at 11pm and we did, at the same time the police came as some neighbors complained.
28 JANUARY 2011 - Break
Well it wasn't much of a break as we had to finish up all the last minute preparations before the BIG WEDDING DAY. Wedding Dinner Performance, Ironing Clothes, Preparing morning sagan stuff and confirming stuff. We hardly could sleep.
29 JANUARY 2011 - DEPARTURE OF JANJ
Morning we got ready did all the customary sagan, surma, sehra, ganne, tel cho, and tie the gutte in front of the wedding car.
As my dad joined in the wedding car, I drove my car with my mom and sister, the rest of the janj went in the two buses and some by their cars. That's my car behind the wedding car. =)
As my brother try to peep out to see the surrounding, photographers rush in ...his friends la.
Not forgetting us... =)
The bride's company anxiously awaits and the milni.
Ik hi sali (The one and only sis-in-law's sister) berri nekre vali...
Only accepts USD for breakfast tol...
Of course how can we forget the Serbala.
And the best MAN - ANDREW.
29 JANUARY 2011 - ANAND KARAJ
Different from normal weddings, the bride and groom walked in together into the darbaar.
The wonderful awesome Rasvinder Singh who did the kirtan and laava. His voice is simply heavenly.
Not forgetting his shy brother Suvin... playing the tabla... what a combination!
With Waheguru's blessing everything went well and the anand karaj was conplete.
Then they smile...
29 JANUARY 2011 - REST HOUSE
At the rest house we waited and waited for the groom to arrive there....
He took his newly wedded wife dating in Taiping Lake Gardens...
When finally he arrived, of course we sang him his birthday song...
29 JANUARY 2011 - LUNCH & BACK HOME
We went to the lunch hall prepared by the bride's party, had a wonderful lunch...and laughed a lot. Then we went to the bride's house where the serbala was bullied in the most unique way...
It was a tiring day...

The thanksgiving prayers was blissful.
