From Passion to Purpose: Our Journey to Starting Crave4Crystals - PART 1

What started as a personal hobby between my sister and me has grown into something much bigger—a small business built from passion, curiosity, and a love for crystals.

It all began with us exploring crystals for ourselves. We were fascinated by their beauty, energy, and the variety of benefits they were said to bring. As we built our own personal collection, our passion grew. We researched endlessly about the different types of crystals, their origins, and the meanings behind each one.

Then, during the pandemic, an idea struck us: why not share our love for crystals with others by starting an online business? And just like that, the concept for our business was born. We started researching suppliers from various countries, learning to navigate the world of sourcing high-quality crystals. Some suppliers were great, while others weren’t a fit.

We made a conscious decision not to buy in bulk, even though it would have been cheaper. Instead, we wanted to curate our collection personally, choosing each crystal ourselves so that we could offer the very best to fellow crystal lovers like us.

Thus, Crave4Crystals was born. We registered our business, opened a separate bank account, and set off on this new adventure together. It wasn’t easy—since we weren’t running it full-time, we dedicated some of our evenings and weekends to growing the business and building our customer relationship.

But with determination, support from each other, and encouragement from our first customers, our small idea began to flourish. Seeing the joy our crystals brought to others reminded us why we started in the first place.

A gorgeous Pyrite Egg symbolizing abundance energy.

Lovely Ice cold looking Blue Aragonite rare and calming.

Garden Quartz, mesmerizing scene of nature bringing stability.

Today, Crave4Crystals continues to grow, fueled by the same curiosity and passion that sparked it all. And while the journey hasn’t always been easy, it’s been incredibly rewarding. We look forward to sharing our love for crystals with even more people and continuing this adventure, one crystal at a time.

Although we miss every crystal we sell, we feel blessed to have had the opportunity to spread the energy.

It's my birthday!!!

My birthday, my birthday ... YA BA DA BA DOOOO!!!

I know, I know, no one believes I'm 31!

My birthday was fun...I went to work! Seriously I had fun???
Why! Let me explain, after lunch, while waiting for the lift suddenly the electricity went off. So basically we were at 3rd floor and the lifts not working...
For those who don't know...I work on the 40TH FLOOR!!!!

So we hanged out downstairs... for an hour before we got back to work, that is when the electricity was back. =) It would really been a workout climbing 40 floors... =P

Of course when I got back, I celebrated with my family...

Welcome 2011

It's a new year and there calls for major changes. It was about time for a change in my life. My year started of jobless - pretty interesting. I had to focus on my brother's wedding while looking for another job. Well the looking for a job wasn't so difficult, and the brother's wedding was the agenda that ripped of the whole month of my life.

Seriously, one whole month, where did it go, I wasn't going to work, I was mostly at home. I can't believe it myself, one whole month has vanished and passed by. Though I must say I enjoyed the wedding fully.

I'll make sure to post the links for all the pictures and video for my brother's wedding here. From the maiyan, sangeet, wedding, prayer and until the dinner, everything was fabulous. And since my brother is a professional photographer, he had so many friends taking pictures as they are all professional photographers.

That's something I could blog about some day too.... Advertising my brothers phography skills... =)

Ok January passed and Chinese New Year was my break or in other words, time to recover from wedding... he he he... Then 8th of February 2011 came.... back to work...new job, new friends, new environment... YIPPIE!!!

Donating Blood!!!

My office had a Blood donation campaign yesterday. When I heard about this campaign a week ago I had a flash back....~~~~~~.....Years ago..... when I went to donate blood the first time....I was terrified....!!! YIKES! I am so afraid of PAIN....well actually, I am STILL afraid of PAIN. So basically needles goes into that category....OUCH!!! The nurse sent me home before the 1/2 margin line of the packet...I was to afraid or can I say my blood was afraid to come out too....HE HE! Well that was years ago.....

Recently, I have been in and out of hospitals for blood checks since my hemoglobin count was low. I felt as I always but blood count shows a different story. Doctor says with low hemoglobin less oxygen gets carried in and that's why you're breathing heavily when you play sports. Basically heart pump faster...more blood to heart...more oxygen to body. Well it makes sense to me. Every time the stick that needle into my arm, I let out a SHRIEK!!

OK, back to YESTERDAY. It has been a while since a checked my hemoglobin level or took medication to increase it. So what the heck....I decided to go for the blood drive and check my blood...I was definitely sure I will be rejected it the first check before they draw my blood. As usual when they pricked my finger to check my blood, I let out a small SCREAM!!! =) But to my surprise they said my blood was fine.

Well was this a good news???, my blood back to normal, or is it a bad news???....OH SHIT...now they gonna poke a bigger needle into my arm to draw blood....AAARRRGGG....I was trembling and so scared...I tried to calm myself by praying and I guess it worked. Of course I still let out my usual shriek and then blood was simply flowing out of me...OK, that didn't sound right...=P

I was still tensed but at the same time fascinated!!!! In a few minutes, the bag was full...YAHOO..... then the needle came out...OUCH!!! Then the nurse asked me to press on my arm....THAT WAS PAINFUL!!! When she came back after a while she brought a handy-plus, she carried the cotton and SUDDENLY...OUCH...She pushed back the cotton back on with force...When she carried the cotton I could see some blood splashing out...she told me I wasn't pressing hard, ok press more and more and more. She came back, again the same thing...OUCH!!!!.....Than after a few more minutes of pressing patiently, no blood was shooting out, and there goes the handy-plus. YAY, trauma finally over. But I would'nt say I won't donate again.

One packet O+ blood served. =)

Then, when I went back to my place, I went on persuading others to go. Some already came prepared with their donation book. WAH WAH!!!. Then Shiva got the courage to go donate blood for the first time. He didn't even know what was his blood group. I managed to sneak back in take his picture.

This picture shows him all fine, he was thinking in his mind wow, he is actually donating his blood, and maybe this blood could safe someone's life. After I left, he went through a real trauma. I mean nothing like my PAIN trauma...

After putting on the handy-plus, as he was walking, blood started pouring out. He was stunned and all the nurses rushed to rescue him. OMG!!! Unluckily, he had blood stains on his SHIRT!!! One of his new favorite shirts which was WHITE. Pity him. After the blood finally stop, the first thing he did was wash the shirt.

I would suggest to everyone, DO DONATE BLOOD, don't be afraid, when a person like me can do it so can you. Even Shiva says he will donate again next. And guess what there are benefits too....

As it is written in the blood donation card, you will get free medical treatments for free for a certain number of times depends on how many times you have donated. I just did once and I get a free 4 month duration. If you donated 50 times, you can get any medical treatments for life, the first 10 years in 1st class the the rest in 2nd class. HOW COOL IS THAT????
