Shutter Island...It's all about madness!

First of all, Thank you Ben for passing this movie to me to watch.
Even though it was one twisted movie, I did enjoy it.

I just found out that it was initially a novel by Dennis Lehane in 2003.
I love the suspense but my sister concluded before the end that those who were watching were the mad ones! Actors from Gandhi and Titanic did justice to the movie.

WARNING: Those who loves a suspense movie please don't read what is written below ....GO WATCH THE MOVIE!!! When you have watched it then come back and comment on what you think about it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Teddy and his partner goes to this island to solve a missing persons case.
Is the person really missing? Does the person actually exist?
How could the person get out of a closed room? Where could she have gone without her shoes?
Where is the personal doc for the missing person?
What's with all the dreams Teddy seeing? Why is he getting headaches? What's his past like? Is the doctors giving his wrong medicines? Are they trying to poison his mind and make him made?
Is the person he is looking for on that island? Did that person really burn the apartment which killed his wife and three other persons? Who were these three other person?
Who is this unseen guy with a scar? Is this all a trap for him?
Is the doctors all lying? Are they hiding something? Are they doing brain surgery? Where do they do this? Did they do something to the missing person before returning her to her room?
Is his partner trying to make his mad with the doctors? Does his partner really exist?
Is his partner in trouble? Did they brainwash his partner?
Favorite quotes:
We don't know how she got out of her room.
It's as if she evaporated, straight through the walls.
Teddy tells his wife in his illusion:
Baby, I love this because you gave it to me, but it is one fucking ugly tie.
Doc tells Teddy:
You blew up my car. I loved that car.
The best is the last conversation between Teddy and Chuck:
Chuck: How we doing this morning?
Teddy: Good, and you?
Chuck: Can't complain.
Teddy: So what's our next move?
Chuck: You tell me.
Teddy: I gotta get off this rock, Chuck. Get back to the mainland. Whatever the hell's going on here, it's bad. Don't worry partner, they're not gonna catch us.
Chuck: That's right, we're too smart for em.
Teddy: Yeah, we are, aren't we. You know, this place makes me wonder.
Chuck: Yeah, what's that, boss?
Teddy: Which would be worse, to live as a monster or to die as a good man?
Chuck: Teddy.
My conclusion is the he was a patient in the hospital for killing his wife who killed their three kids, but in this dialogue he was cured, he was no more insane thinking that he is a detective looking for the person who killed his wife and is aware of what he did that is killed his wife and burned down the house with his three dead kids in it. He just could not bear living a free life as a monster. Instead he would prefer to die as an insane person....BRILLIANT!
Karma or Just Dum Luck...
Do you believe in KARMA?
karma karma karma karma karma charmeleon......
oops not the song....
KARMA - what goes around comes around !!!
For some this sound scary, for some don't give a damn and the rest hope.
For me it's a mix of all, gosh ... do I really believe this?
Hmmmm... yes and no
Wondering why I chose this topic.....? Read on to find out.
Well, 2 years ago my brother and I were driving on the way to Penang, passing by Bukit Merah on the highway. It was a wonderful clear morning. When suddenly, KABOOOOM!!!!
I saw it all... CLEARLY...but once it at happened, I was BLUR...
A cockerel was flying across the highway, I guess he was getting a bit tired and miss-calculated his flight route. He came too low and HIT RIGHT in my windscreen. Circles of cracks right in the center. At first we slowed down stopped at the side of the highway, paused a while to digest what just happened, started cursing the cockerel and a bit of laughs in between.
Now as I am writing about it, I felt bad, I never at all taught of the poor cockerel, I was just angry and sad about my car. It was an extremely funny incident. Whomever we told laughed, they were even jokes about "Where the chicken? Let's BBQ the chicken.".
Well I don't blame myself entirely, I was quite furious as it's my dear car plus I didn't have my windscreen insured. Since then I always had my windscreen insured!!!
So why I am reminiscing about this....hmmm.... It's because since then every year some one knocks my car. I still remember it clearly, 28 Oct 2009 a car crashed into my car and just recently on 27 May 2010, a car crashed into my car. Doesn't that sound the same?!?!?!?
So it this Karma for killing the cockerel or just pure bad luck. I would say I am lucky...lucky that I am still alive and not hurt, but at the same time sad about my car which I just had finished paying for. It hurts, it hurts real bad. The 2009 accident was really damaging, my car was away from me for 3 months. Learning from my mistakes, I made the police report faster then before, I realized that there is no use giving my car so early to the workshop before they get the documents ready. Once they are done with it, then only I will send my car, and if they will have to wait for spare parts, I'm gonna keep my car till they get all the parts they need.
No I'm not crazy....I saw the way they keep the car there. It was horrible, the accident parts became all rusted in sun and rain. So I'll just stick to my plan.
Ok I'm pretty sleepy now....dozzing offf.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..............
My Heart Lights Up...
To me it felt like it was just yesterday since I celebrated New Year... 2010. This year is really flying...seriously flying, I guess time too has made progress and revolved itself, as how means of transportation has changed from carriages to jet planes.... The last I blogged was 2009....where did these 5 months GO!!! What better way but to visualize with the picture below:
Time has passed by and I am a year older... wiser?!? =) In summary, these pass few months has been filled with lots of emotions... Well mostly laughter... aha... yes... LAUGHTER... loud laughters... how can the bubbly Salprith Kaur stay without lots and lots of laughter.
As usual, work is stressful but as one of my resolutions this year is to think positive..take it like a challenge....so its not that stressful la... just CHILLING. =D
So, I guess I'm going to start writing again...I hope... I can make it a habit. It's not that I like people reading and commenting (ahem ahem please don't stop - I actually do {another resolution - speak my mind})....he he. But seriously, jokes aside, it does benefit me a lot. Besides practicing my language in writing, I get to let out what's on my mind and heart...creatively. That's a huge load off!!!
It's not like I planned yesterday what I am going to write today. I just open my blog and start writing whatever comes to mind. Some times when I go to bed the thought of an idea or topic to write comes about in my mind... but usually I am to tired..actually lazy la....PAHAM LA... SEMJA KERO...
YAHOO....This is awesome...writing back again... I can feel my heart lighted up.
So MR TIME...spare me some TIME okay. Relax and take a chill pill... =D
Donating Blood!!!
My office had a Blood donation campaign yesterday. When I heard about this campaign a week ago I had a flash back....~~~~~~.....Years ago..... when I went to donate blood the first time....I was terrified....!!! YIKES! I am so afraid of PAIN....well actually, I am STILL afraid of PAIN. So basically needles goes into that category....OUCH!!! The nurse sent me home before the 1/2 margin line of the packet...I was to afraid or can I say my blood was afraid to come out too....HE HE! Well that was years ago.....
Recently, I have been in and out of hospitals for blood checks since my hemoglobin count was low. I felt as I always but blood count shows a different story. Doctor says with low hemoglobin less oxygen gets carried in and that's why you're breathing heavily when you play sports. Basically heart pump faster...more blood to heart...more oxygen to body. Well it makes sense to me. Every time the stick that needle into my arm, I let out a SHRIEK!!
OK, back to YESTERDAY. It has been a while since a checked my hemoglobin level or took medication to increase it. So what the heck....I decided to go for the blood drive and check my blood...I was definitely sure I will be rejected it the first check before they draw my blood. As usual when they pricked my finger to check my blood, I let out a small SCREAM!!! =) But to my surprise they said my blood was fine.
Well was this a good news???, my blood back to normal, or is it a bad news???....OH SHIT...now they gonna poke a bigger needle into my arm to draw blood....AAARRRGGG....I was trembling and so scared...I tried to calm myself by praying and I guess it worked. Of course I still let out my usual shriek and then blood was simply flowing out of me...OK, that didn't sound right...=P
I was still tensed but at the same time fascinated!!!! In a few minutes, the bag was full...YAHOO..... then the needle came out...OUCH!!! Then the nurse asked me to press on my arm....THAT WAS PAINFUL!!! When she came back after a while she brought a handy-plus, she carried the cotton and SUDDENLY...OUCH...She pushed back the cotton back on with force...When she carried the cotton I could see some blood splashing out...she told me I wasn't pressing hard, ok press more and more and more. She came back, again the same thing...OUCH!!!!.....Than after a few more minutes of pressing patiently, no blood was shooting out, and there goes the handy-plus. YAY, trauma finally over. But I would'nt say I won't donate again.
One packet O+ blood served. =)
Then, when I went back to my place, I went on persuading others to go. Some already came prepared with their donation book. WAH WAH!!!. Then Shiva got the courage to go donate blood for the first time. He didn't even know what was his blood group. I managed to sneak back in take his picture.
This picture shows him all fine, he was thinking in his mind wow, he is actually donating his blood, and maybe this blood could safe someone's life. After I left, he went through a real trauma. I mean nothing like my PAIN trauma...
After putting on the handy-plus, as he was walking, blood started pouring out. He was stunned and all the nurses rushed to rescue him. OMG!!! Unluckily, he had blood stains on his SHIRT!!! One of his new favorite shirts which was WHITE. Pity him. After the blood finally stop, the first thing he did was wash the shirt.
I would suggest to everyone, DO DONATE BLOOD, don't be afraid, when a person like me can do it so can you. Even Shiva says he will donate again next. And guess what there are benefits too....
As it is written in the blood donation card, you will get free medical treatments for free for a certain number of times depends on how many times you have donated. I just did once and I get a free 4 month duration. If you donated 50 times, you can get any medical treatments for life, the first 10 years in 1st class the the rest in 2nd class. HOW COOL IS THAT????
