Last year’s Diwali was unforgettable — I took the kids on a train ride all the way to Kangar, Perlis. It was such an adventure! A proper Bhoot Diwali story that I should really write about someday to keep those memories alive.
But this year… this year we had a proper DHAMAKA.
We made cookies together — which of course ended in flour everywhere but also lots of laughter. We had games, excitement, and a house full of cheerful chaos.
We also had our family, relatives, friends, work friends, and even the kids’ school friends join us. The house was bursting with joy, noise, and so much love — just the way Diwali should feel. We even catered food, so no stress… just good vibes and great food.
And then came the highlight — the birthday cake for our little Perleen, surrounded by family and friends, candles, and big smiles. Her cake had an accident, Rumi was on fire!!! More drama... but the Demon Hunters rocked!!!
Kids also enjoyed the party games. Thank you to my sister, Jusprith to help in that!
Most importantly, thank God it didn’t rain. Waheguru truly blessed us with a beautiful day filled with light, warmth, and togetherness. After the crowd subsided, the kids continued on playing fireworks.
A celebration of Diwali, a celebration of life, and a celebration of our sweet girl growing another year older — truly, a day to remember.
